The large project at York Community Stadium, which will deliver an 8,000 seat stadium and various other leisure facilities, is progressing swiftly as the structural construction works are over half way to completion. Alongside the sporting aspect of the complex, the development will also feature 60,000 sq ft of new retail which includes a 13 screen IMAX cinema and many restaurant units which will soon become available prior to practical completion in 2019.
Drone footage has captured the project’s current progress and is available to see here: https://bit.ly/2IJU2xL
The next steps for the project will see the finalising of the stadium’s steel framework, the cladding to be installed on the exterior of the leisure building and the swimming pool’s concrete walls to be sprayed.
