Last night saw over 60 property professionals celebrate the launch of London-based property company, Queensbury Capital, backed by Palmer Capital with a drinks reception at their offices in Mayfair. Joseph Downey, Founder and Managing Director of Queensbury Capital, was formerly and Investment Manager at FTSE listed retail business, Sports Direct, where he was responsible for the firms London Real Estate Investments portfolio with a GDV in excess of £500m and covering over 1.5m sq. ft.
Joseph’s specialism in the London property market is borne out of his passion for the City’s’ real estate and his eagerness to drive change in a historically rigid asset class to meet the demands of the future.
Queensbury Capital will invest across all sectors and geographies of London, with a primary focus on the following:
- residential, including traditional private sale, build to rent and serviced apartments;
- repositioning of retail led assets to account for the seismic shift in modern day retailing; and
- providing office solutions to meet the ever-changing occupational demands of businesses within London
The aim for Queensbury Capital is to deploy in excess of £500m of equity over the next three years.
