This year, Alex Price has given £250 in cash from his own pocket to 12 teams for Palmer Capital’s LandAid Moneymaker scheme. The name of the game was to turn that £250 into as much money as possible with all proceeds from the money maker challenge going to LandAid.
We have 12 entrepreneurial teams involved in the challenge and so far we have managed to raise a grand total of £8679 with just under 3 weeks to go. The teams creative juice have been flowing with a wide range of events taking place from table tennis to abseiling, bike riding to Come dine with me. See below the progress of the teams to date:
Wrenbridge have jumped to the top spot with their fantastic raise from the Wrenbridge World Cup. Over 30 teams took place in the 5 a side tournament raising an outstanding £2400
Andrew and his team at Opus North amassed a group of 60 property professionals including the likes of GVA, CBRE, Savills, Knight Frank and many more, to undertake a 25 mile cycle in aid of Landaid. The event took place on 11th August with the riders starting their journey from Ilkley, heading to Burnsall and back rasing a total of £1750.
Cubex Land’s Josh Roberts is taking on the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 25th September raising so far £940.
The Gerald Eve raffle has nearly tripled the £250 start off, the team hope to increase this further in a second stage of fundraising. Total to date: £734.
The Opus Land abseil at 54 Hagley Road Birmingham will take place on Thursday 29th September, with over 30 people signed up to take on the challenge.Total: £600.
Cantium has recruited their offspring to find innovative ways of raising money which so far they have raised £500.
The Angle Property team are off the starting block with an afternoon of “Wiff Waff” afternoon (ping pong to me and you) taking place on Wednesday 12th October. Total: £255
The Danescroft Charity Shield table football tournament will be taking place on 5th October. Total £250
Palmer Capital will be holding a “Come Dine with Me “ evening on Tuesday 18th October, with a ‘Homage to Catalonia’ theme. Total raised so far: £500.
Manse, Savills and The Estates Gazette teams are still keeping their cards close to their chest for the big reveal on LandAid day on 13th October.
