Palmer Capital and its Founder and Chairman, Ray Palmer, have been shortlisted for two nominations at the PROPs Awards being held on 8th May; Ray for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ and Palmer Capital for ‘Property Fund of the Year’.
Ray has been at the forefront of Palmer Capital’s successes throughout its lifespan, and predominantly in 2017 when it celebrated its quarter of a century birthday and did some of the largest deals to date. One of which was the £250m JV between Rolls Royce and two of Palmer Capital’s prop co’s; Manse LLP and Opus Land, which was the largest manufacturing deal in the Midlands for over a decade, and also one of the largest manufacturing deals of 2017.
Palmer Capital has its very own unique business model, which puts them in a different ball-park to the rest. The Palmer Capital network stretches across the UK through 33% shareholding stakes in 8 regional property companies; ranging from Edinburgh to Bristol. This model is one of a kind in the UK Fund Manager market and provides investors in Palmer Capital’s fund a unique access to deal flow across the regions.
It was this model which helped Palmer Capital to source deals such as the Midlands JV and the major redevelopment of Finzels Reach in Bristol. This project, in conjunction with Cubex Land, has been a major contribution to the rejuvenation of Bristol city. The Aurora building in Bristol is the first to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding and WiredScore Platinum rating outside of London. The developers of this project, Cubex Land, have also been shortlisted for ‘Commercial Development of the Year’ at the PROPs awards following the development’s high levels of success.
These are but a few of the many reasons why both Ray Palmer, who has been at the forefront of the industry for 50 years, and Palmer Capital should win two new titles on 8th May at the PROPs Awards, and all in the name of charity. The event is being held to raise money for Variety, the children’s charity (https://www.variety.org.uk/), at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
