We are delighted to announce Palmer Capital’s Landaid Money Maker scheme has raised an outstanding £21,475.37.
This year, Alex Price launched an apprentice style challenge to see who could make the most money from £250, which Alex gave from his own pocket. Twelve teams stepped up to the task with various creative and innovative ideas including abseiling, table tennis tournaments, raffles and so on.
At the bottom of the table, with Scottish thrift, was Manse who invested into a mixed secured income portfolio which after deducting trading costs delivered a return of zero. Just ahead the Estates Gazette team made a steady 4.9% return from day trading.
But at the top of the table, in third place is Wrenbridge, which after losing it all on a sunny day at The Newmarket Races, made it all back in a 5 aside football tournament. In second place, Angle Property stormed way ahead with their Table Tennis *”Wiff Waff” competition which saw over 50 property professionals take to the tables in Holborn.
However the winner by a huge margin and raising just under £7000, was Opus Land, who bravely took to the Birmingham skyline at 54 Hagley Road, 18 storeys high with a mix of terrified clients, advisers and competitors. Two of the ropes were kindly sponsored by Shoosmiths and one by MCS who each submitted teams to the challenge itself.
