Victoria Turnbull, Joint Managing Director of Opus Land, has made it into Bisnow’s prestigious ’47 women who will shape the future of UK real estate’. As described in Bisnow’s article, Victoria, also named ‘The West Midlands Warrior’, is responsible for procuring new opportunities and delivering Opus Land’s projects.
Bisnow compiled the list by looking at the real estate industry’s rising stars, the people behind the headlines and those shaking up the sector. Most importantly, the women had to be talented, exciting, innovative and disruptive.
Opus Land has more than 280 acres in the development pipeline and Victoria has been responsible for delivering several speculative schemes in the industrial sector over the last couple of years.
Previously Turnbull was based in London where she worked as an associate director for Palmer Capital, the real estate fund manager and venture capital backer of companies including Opus. Before that, she was a senior surveyor at King Sturge, now Jones Lang LaSalle, in London where she specialised in commercial investment and business recovery.
Outside of work, her hobbies include keeping fit, dog walking, skiing, spending time with friends and meeting new people. She has also never been known to turn down a spa weekend.
Opus Land, based in the West Midlands, has assets under management of almost £3m sq ft, with more than 550 sq ft of that being speculative development.
