The conference took place at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester on the morning of 26 September and was attended by over 160 professionals. The event provided the audience with a chance to hear from some of the city’s most prominent commercial developers alongside leading architects and agents, focussing on the future of Manchester’s office market.

The half-day conference saw developers, agents, architects and occupiers all give their view on the future of the office sector, and how Manchester can best capture an increasingly transient workforce and meet their increasingly high demands on office space.

Office take-up in Manchester is at an all-time high and the demand is likely to keep growing with known requirements of approximately 1,000,000sq.ft in the market and the North West being one of the fastest growing regions this year. Available Grade A office space in Manchester is at a record low and the competition for sites is heightened by the demand for residential. Rents remain strong and are forecast to grow even further from their current high of £36.50psf.

Harlex Property are based in the heart of this exciting region and are looking to acquire Grade A Office development sites in Manchester City Centre, which they will deliver on a speculative basis in response to the strong tenant demand. If you are aware of a development site or an existing building that could be redeveloped in Manchester, then please do get in touch with james@harlexproperty.co.uk.
