James Good of Angle Property has successfully completed his LandAid cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats. His incredible trip saw him cycling through torrential rain and strong (helpful) winds for the journey up to Bristol. The weather generally improved albeit with little sunshine. He thankfully only had one puncture stoppage in the whole trip and used self-sealing tyres which were a great help.
The last day had felt strangely easy as he was blessed with no wind or rain, for what felt like a relaxed ride into John O’Groats with all 5 riders rolling up to the famous sign in unison.
His total mileage according to James’ Strava record is 949.4 miles (36 marathons) and he climbed 52,000 ft (1.8x Mt Everest). James cycled for a total of 66 hours over 9 days.
The winner of the Palmer Capital Challenge “guess my mileage” competition is Mr David Lindsell who guessed 945 miles and will receive his £250 reward, so well done David!
And an even bigger well done is in order for James’ amazing achievement, and we are happy to announce that his endeavours raised a phenomenal £5,380.00!
All of the donations will go straight to LandAid, and you’re still able to donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/James-good3
