We are dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we live, work and invest, to create a positive long-lasting impact. Since the start of 2021, we have raised over £100,000 for a variety of charities and this year we decided to support Grace Academy, Coventry, a secondary school with over 800 pupils. The main catchment area covers some of the poorest parts of the UK, resulting in a high proportion of disadvantaged families who are likely to have a household income of less than £18,000 per annum. Grace Academy estimates that its percentage of disadvantaged pupils is 55% compared to the 20% national average. The pupils education has been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic so our focus has been to provide funding for extra educational support and to improve the facilities that the pupils have access to onsite.
On 13th – 15th May, over 200 property professionals took part in the Fiera Real Estate Ekiden Fundraiser, raising money to fund the school’s new library, sports, music and science equipment and learning support for the pupils, to help them flourish in their development, confidence, and resilience. The total distance covered was over 6,300km and the campaign raised over £54,000 for the school.
