Fiera Real Estate UK (“Fiera”), an affiliate of Fiera Capital Corporation, a global asset manager with US$122.5 billion in assets under management, has appointed Andrew Hill as a Director to spearhead the management of the firm’s value-add funds. Hill joins Fiera from Apache Capital, where he was a Director, Head of Multifamily.
Hill has 10 years of real estate fund and investment management experience across the capital stack and in multiple sectors. As Head of Multifamily at Apache, Hill oversaw the management of the firm’s c.4,500 home built-to-rent joint venture with Moda Living, where KKR, NFU Mutual and Harrison Street are amongst investors. Prior to that, Hill spent six years at Mansford LLP, where he invested approximately £1 billion of capital across opportunistic, core and long-income strategies in the residential, industrial, hospitality and retail sectors.
At Fiera, Hill will be the Director responsible for acquisitions, asset management and financing for the firm’s value-add funds, and report to Head of UK Real Estate Investment Management, Chris Button. Hill will also support capital raising for the firm’s future value-add strategies.
Hill will be responsible for deploying capital and managing the existing assets within the Fiera Real Estate Logistics Development Fund, an urban Grade A development fund which closed this month with £420m of investment capacity and is 85% deployed. Fundraising for the second fund in the series, which will replicate the first strategy, will start imminently.
In addition to the logistics sector, Fiera is currently focussed on UK single-family housing and pan-European debt, where its platform has invested over £330m in the UK and Europe. Fiera has partnered with Packaged Living – the leading living sector specialist with a £1.6bn (GDV) pipeline of over 5,000 homes – for its single-family housing strategy.
Packaged Living is part of Fiera’s operating partner network, where Fiera owns a minority share in nine of the UK’s leading property companies. This unique model has been key to the firm’s acquisition and development strategy, providing it with nationwide coverage and boots-on-the-ground access to local markets to support deal flow. Together with its operating partner network, Fiera now has £3.1bn of assets under management.
