The impact of coronavirus on NHS workers has been profound. From a recent survey, nearly half of medics working in intensive care are experiencing symptoms of PTSD, severe depression or anxiety.
On 23rd – 25th April, over 150 property professionals are taking part in the Fiera Real Estate Ekiden Covid-19 Fundraiser to raise money for Duty To Care, a charity that provides virtual therapy sessions to NHS workers in need of support, to enable them to improve and sustain their mental health and wellbeing.
Teams of 10 will be competing in a walking, running and cycling challenge to cover the most distance and raise the most money. Each team has a minimum target distance of 100km, but the team that covers the most distance will win themselves an additional donation of £500 from Fiera Real Estate to Duty to Care. The team that raises the most will also receive an additional £500 donation. The furthest individual walk, run and cycle will win a £150 donation for their team too!
We have a target fundraising goal of £10,000 which will provide enough funding for 250 healthcare workers.
Each team has a minimum fundraising target of £200, which is covered by each team member’s £20 sign-up fee, so we’d like to see everyone smashing their targets. If you would like to enter a team of 10, please get in contact with us on charity@fierarealestate.com for more information and detail on the next steps.
