The sun was shining in London as over 120 professionals from the property world set off on The Fiera 5000 charity walk last week. Fiera Real Estate teamed up with Forsters to raise all important funds for The Childhood Trust and help to raise awareness of the 800,000 children currently living in poverty in London. Recent research found that the equivalent of 40% of London children are regularly missing meals and going hungry due to the cost-of-living crisis.
We are delighted to announce that with the leveraged matched funding model, we have now raised over £103,000 for The Childhood Trust. These funds will provide 80,000 hot meals, 1,500 counselling sessions and 2,000 extra education lessons for the children.
We received over 110 donations, with representatives from 25 different companies and over 2,2000km was travelled across the various walking, running and cycling activities that took place. Our fundraising efforts will help children to have a healthy, happy and safe childhood so that they are well prepared for life, breaking the cycle of poverty.
