Business Deveopment Manager at Palmer Capital, Emma Murray, is chairing a discussion for the Investment Property Forum entitled ‘Defined Benefit pension schemes de-risking – what is the likely impact upon the UK real estate sector?‘
The event will take place at BlackRock in the City of London on the 19 June, and speakers include Alan Whitmore, Mercer UK, Ian Mason of AEW UK Investment Management LLP and Luke Powell, Aberdeen Standard Investments.
The aim of the session is to consider the ‘various de-risking strategies adopted by pension scheme and discuss the potential impact on th UK real estate market. The session will also consider the potential size and timescale of this strategic change.’ In addition, the panel will also ‘examine the rise of Defined Contribution schemes and highlight the challenges to this source of capital.’
The session looks set to be an interesting and thought provoking discussion and will likely be eye opening for attendees.
