Recycling compliance business Ecosurety is relocating to Finzels Reach, marking the letting of the final office suite at its historic Fermentation Buildings.

The company, which is currently based at Aztec West, will join Channel 4, Historic England, English Heritage and creative studio Outlaw in this newly renovated heritage space. Ecosurety takes 3,370 sq ft on the first floor, overlooking Temple Cross.

Finzels Reach is a new waterfront neighbourhood in Bristol being developed by Cubex with funding from Fiera Real Estate.

Peter Walford, director at Bristol-based Cubex, says: “We are thrilled that Ecosurety is joining the growing community at Finzels Reach. With the final office space now let ahead of completion of the construction works at the Fermentation Buildings, this paves the way for the creation of an exciting new business hub there. Ecosurety is a great fit for Finzels Reach particularly given the important emphasis we place on ensuring the space we create is sustainable and fit for the future.”

Other businesses based at Finzels Reach include Simmons & Simmons, Parmenion, Barclays, EDF and Bafta-winning BDH.

Overlooking Bristol’s Floating Harbour, the Fermentation Buildings are part of the rich brewing history at Finzels Reach, which has been home to several famous breweries over the years, most recently Courage Brewery before it closed in the 1990s. Cubex has paid careful attention to restoring the Fermentation Buildings, ensuring it delivers stand-out, high quality design, whilst preserving their historic features and charm.

Savills and Knight Frank advised Cubex on the office lettings.

Finzels Reach is home to a mixed, balanced community, including new homes, workspace and a fast-emerging social hotspot, together with the striking new Castle Bridge linking this historic area to Castle Park. The likes of Left Handed Giant, Mission Pizza, Pacific Yoga, Café Matariki, Spicer & Cole and a weekly street food market are already well established in the neighbourhood, with Bocabar and Le Vignoble having opened at the end of last year.

With works on phase 2 of Finzels Reach now steaming ahead on the former fire station site opposite phase 1, over 3,300 people will live or work in this new quarter once complete. The next phase includes 297 homes, including 231 build-to-rent apartments and over 20% affordable homes, a cutting-edge sustainable office of 116,000 sq ft for 1100 staff to support Bristol’s growing economy and £2.4m investment in improvements to the area around the site.

Cubex bought the former fire station site opposite phase one of Finzels Reach on behalf of Palmer Capital Development Fund IV (PCDFIV), a programmatic venture by Fiera Real Estate that is exclusive to clients of CBRE Global Investment Partners (CBRE GIP).
