For those of you who don’t yet know, East Street Mews is a new ground breaking initiative being undertaken by one of our Property Companies, Cubex, alongside many other businesses, to provide 11 apartments for youth who have experienced homelessness and are struggling to get on their feet.
Gavin Bridge, Director of Cubex, recently announced that Allium Environmental Ltd will soon commence the removal of asbestos from the property, with Lancer Scott Ltd stripping out and demolishing the existing building, before it is rebuilt to change the lives of Bristolian youths. The building will also offer a small retail unit, to offer employment to further individuals struggling to find a job.
These services, along with every other aspect of the project, is being done on a pro-bono basis, as a collective act of goodwill to do something great for Bristol. We are hoping that this fantastic scheme will spur on future projects like this, seeing different companies all coming together to make a huge difference for the community.
Keep up to date on the scheme, visit their site www.eaststreetmews.co.uk and follow them on twitter @eaststreetmews
