Bristol-based property developer Cubex has brought in Elgan Jones as a new development manager to help the company with its further expansion into the residential sector.
His role will comprise sourcing, acquiring and delivering development schemes primarily in the residential sector, covering everything from student accommodation, PRS and private sale opportunities through to retirement and care homes.
He is a chartered surveyor and joins from Savills’ Bristol office where he worked as an Associate in the development team, advising on all aspects of the development process from acquisition and disposals, to viability, valuation, and contract negotiations. Previous experience includes being a land buyer at Bellway Homes and working at Welsh Health Estates.
Elgan will work closely with Cubex Director Peter Walford who says: “We are delighted to welcome Elgan into the fold. He has worked with us in an agency capacity over the last few years and we’ve been so impressed with his knowledge and skills in the residential field, we decided he could become a real asset to us in our plans to expand into this sector.
“He comes with an excellent track record as both developer and advisor and we feel sure that he will be a positive addition to our team. He will be focusing on building our relationships with all parties involved in the residential, retirement and care markets with a view to identifying opportunities where we can utilise our significant funding reserves to deliver schemes across the south west and South Wales.”
Cubex is a dynamic commercial and residential property development and investment company operating from offices in Bristol and London. The company is well-funded with property venture capital and fund management business Palmer Capital having a share in the company.
Since it was formed in 2004, Cubex has acquired, developed and completed a range of commercial and residential developments across South West England and South Wales with a value in excess of £400m.
These include the Finzels Reach mixed use development by Bristol floating harbour, the Paragon, One Victoria and Bridgewater House office buildings in Bristol City Centre and two residential schemes in Salisbury and Cardiff delivering a total of 185 retirement and assisted living homes.
