Palmer Capital alongside Cubex Land are delighted to confirm the third of three Aurora related building contracts have been signed to a total value of £19M. This project was funded by the Palmer Capital Development Fund III, a programmatic joint venture between CBRE GIP & Palmer Capital.
The contract to deliver Bristol’s first commercial office space to be BREEAM outstanding has been awarded to Willmott Dixon, who have an extensive track record in building ultra energy efficient properties. The project is expected to be completed to a BCO Cat A finish by Christmas 2017.
The Aurora Office Development will provide 95,000 square foot of Grade A office space at a prime location on the Floating Harbour in Bristol city centre, within easy walking distance to Bristol Temple Meads, Cabot Circus and all city centre amenities. The Aurora site will boast a striking facade across seven storey’s including a stunning glass atrium, basement car and bicycle parking and a link to the Grade II listed Generator Building, adjacent.
Gavin Bridge, Director, Cubex Land:
“I’m delighted that with our solid financial backing we are pressing ahead with this speculative development encouraged by the fact that Bristol has a shortage of Grade A office space which has already resulted in rental growth. Aurora will be the first new development to be completed in a number of years and will deliver the very best office space Bristol has to offer in a vibrant, mixed-used location.”
