Key figures behind the UK’s knowledge economy will gather at Colworth Park in Bedfordshire this week for the UKSPA conference, the leading calendar event for the science park sector.
Colworth Park, has long been associated with scientific excellence and innovation in its time as a major research centre for Unilever and it’s a reputation that is set to grow further as the site develops.
That will be made clear to hundreds of delegates from the UK’s leading science parks and incubation centres during the two day event taking place 4 and 5 February.
As well as hosting the event, the Colworth Park team are looking forward to sharing the story of the site’s success in creating a dynamic and collaborative tenant community.
They will also be sharing their experience of reaching out to their local community, including the provision of shared sporting facilities and local sports sponsorship.
Keith Purdie, Business Development Director at Colworth Park, said: “It’s an honour to host the UKSPA Conference at Colworth Park and be part of the most prolific knowledge-share
in our industry.“We value our UKSPA membership and events like these enable us to analyse key trends in the sector, track best practice throughout the UK and celebrate the innovation that takes place in our industry.
“It’s also a chance to share our story, to show the great strides we have made to date in our transition from a single employer to a multi-business site; putting place the foundations for the next chapter of the site’s success.”
The conference itself will include a whole range of talks, workshops and seminars on issues affecting the science park sector from regional innovation, business investment and local network growth to social enterprise and best practice
