Developers of a planned new shopping park in Morecambe say they will make a “significant announcement in four to six weeks”.
Although little has happened visibly on the former Frontierland site in recent months, a spokesman for Opus North said there were still developments behind-the-scenes and they hoped to make them public soon.
Their plan is to convert the derelict former fairground into a £17m shopping park called ‘the Bay Shopping Park’.
This will include a Premier Inn and Brewers Fayre pub/restaurant replacing the Ranch House.
The Polo Tower is also expected to be demolished as part of the work.
Opus North have been working to sign up retailers and appoint a builder.
